| The early Elsinores only has a very
rudimentary chain roller so as we have the frame completely stripped
we have decided to add a bracket for a better one. This was
fabricated from some scrap steel left over from a packing case a new
bike arrived in. So Kevin was allowed to use the hacksaw (we don't
normally let him play with sharp things on quick look at the picture
will explain it all!!!) and files. |

All joking aside he soon had a very
reasonable bracket produced that looks like it will do the job
perfectly, with a slot to allow for fine adjustment. This was offered
up to the chassis near to where the redundant side stand bracket had
been cut off. |
| And welded up saving a bit of weight
and making space for the chain roller bracket, but it is obviously
important to plate over the hole produced by cutting off the bracket
first as this keeps the chassis strong. |

The broken exhaust mounting was also
repaired by welding a stud into the hole left where the original
bracket had broken off. The only thing left to do to the frame is to
reinforce the very weak steering lock stop on the head stock as these
often get knocked off when racing hard.
